CURRICULUM ..
All subjects on the Narinukun International Programme are taught in English. Teachers are recruited from state schools in their home countries and deliver the British Curriculum integrating the Thai OBEC with the British Curriculum.
According to the Government's policy to make Thailand become the Education Hub of the region, Narinukun School is one of the fourteen schools in Thailand which has been selected to run an international programme to raise the stadard of Thai education to meet the demand og ASEAN and beyond
Based in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand's Noth-Eastern most province, Narinukun International Programme is part of the government's Education Hub Project, created with the aim of developing Thailand into a regional leader in delivering international education to Thai and foriegn students.
Narinukun International Programme (NIP) bases its curriculum on the integration the core curriculum of the Office of basic education committee with the British curriculum. It is divided into 2 levels; namely Lower Secondary Level (Year 7-9) and Upper Secondary Level (Year 10-12)
The Programme started admission of Year 7 students in 2010, and will continue admitting new groups of students in the coming years.
One of the reasons the Educational Hub Project was created was as part of Thailand's commitment to the ASEAN goal of making English the language of education in all member countries, eventually leading to students in one ASEAN nation being able to study in any others.
The programme has a commitment to providie students with an awareness of globalisation and each year makes a number of visits both within the country and overseas, to international exhibitions, fairs and English speaking schools.
Students are encouraged to study how students from other countries are taught and learn, and contrast it with their own experiences and their own country's educational traditions. Providing students with first hand experience of learning in other countries then is seen as an important part of the school curriculum.
